Donating Stock & Mutual Funds
Donating stocks or mutual funds is an excellent – and easy – way to support a charitable organization. It can also be a way to avoid paying capital gains if the equities have appreciated in value since you purchased or obtained them, as you will receive a tax-deductible receipt for the full current value.
