PROGRAM LEAD: Scott Borinstein MD., Ph.D. TCA Partnership est. August 2016

Our unit at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt is complete and open to serve teens and young adults with cancer in and surrounding Nashville, Tennessee. They have done an incredible job to continue their program’s vital work even after COVID-19 caused them to adjust their AYA space. They never let go of their vision and dream. Now, with this space open for young people, we know how much good work their team is going to do because of their perseverance.

This unit and program were funded by Teen Cancer America, musical artist and cancer survivor Harry Hudson, and his close friend, business and media mogul Kylie Jenner. Harry brought Kylie on to this project because after being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma at age 20, he wants to give back to his cancer community and the health care workers who helped him. As an ambassador for TCA, Harry continues to bring awareness to the challenges this unique population faces in the health system.
