The 2nd Annual Teen Cancer America Golf Outing at Metedeconk National Golf Club

The 2nd Annual Teen Cancer America Golf Outing at Metedeconk National Golf Club in New Jersey on October 17th was a raving success. Together with our donors, our guests, and our fabulous hosts, we raised over $350,000 for young people with cancer. Thank you to all who donated and played to make this huge impact.

The day started with a raffle and lunch on the beautiful patio. Players then set off to start their 18 holes on one ofRobert Trent Jones, Sr.’s most acclaimed courses or their practice session at one of the best practice facilities in the Mid-Atlantic region, hosted by six-time LPGA winner Val Skinner.  Cocktails followed, accompanied by some serious rock and roll by Ken Freirich, the MedRock band, and some incredible special guests.

Board member Zachary Cohen got nearly two feet from the hole for the BMW Million Dollar Hole in One contest! Dinner followed where our young beneficiaries shared their transformative stories about cancer during and after Teen Cancer America. Golf Channel star Rich Lerner then shared his personal story about his nephew’s cancer diagnosis, and led our live auction. Silent and live auction prizes included some unbelievable prizes, including US Golf Open 2023 tickets, foursomes at world class courses across the country, gear from Greyson, Callaway, Titleist, Ping, TaylorMade, True Spec, and so much more.

Celebrity guests who contributed for the cause included the Golf Channel’s Rich Lerner, Val Skinner, NY Giants alumni Rodney Hampton, Stephen Baker, Chris Calloway, and OJ Anderson, Ken Freirich and MedRock, Broadway’s Donnie Kehr, Bad Religion’s Simon Kirke, and Joan Jett and the Blackheart’s Ricky Byrd and Kasim Sulton.
