Before enjoying a career in music, Chris Stewart was CEO of Gelber Group, a financial futures and trading firm at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT). He served on the board of directors for the CBOT board on the Chicago Mercantile Board from 2006-2014. 

Currently, Mr. Stewart serves on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Board (2006- present), where he works on the Development and Induction committees. He has served as a board member for the Country Music Hall of Fame (2016-present), where he works on the Development committee. 

Mr. Stewart played percussion with the Dave Mason Band from 2006-2012. 

Mr. Stewart believes strongly in the preservation and in music education. He splits his time between his Nashville and Chicago homes. And enjoys his free time with his wife and three sons.
