Matthew Helderman founded Buffalo 8 in 2010 while an undergraduate student, leading the company to premiere projects at Sundance, SXSW, and Berlin; while producing notable works including the Netflix original Rodney King (directed by Spike Lee) and the global hit The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes (directed by Joe Berlinger).

In 2013, he co-founded BondIt Media Capital, deploying over $500M across 500+ film, TV, live entertainment, and music projects, raising $30M for a partial sale to Accord Financial (TSX: ACD) and expanding its credit facility to $100M with Keystone National Group.

In 2017, he co-managed the acquisition of ABS Entertainment Payroll, later steering its majority sale to a leading private equity firm, where he remains Executive Director, partner, and Board Member. Helderman has been a TED speaker, profiled in The New York Times, and is a YPO member.

Helderman has worked closely with Teen Cancer America participating in the charity fundraising + running of the Los Angeles Marathon every year since 2012, organizing hundreds of runners to join the TCA team during that time, and raising donations for the charity throughout the process.
