What kind of music do you love, and who are some of your favorite artists or bands?

I like genres that mix together with each other, including rock, jazz, blues, soul, country, and americana (folk). My favorite artist at the moment is John Mayer. He mixes these genres together and I admire his ability to play something that fits the song and genre.

What was your relationship with music like before your cancer diagnosis?

Can you share a little bit about your cancer story?

I was diagnosed with ependymoma at the age of 2. What helped me develop more ‘normally’ is that I did not know I had cancer. Which pushed me through the excuses I would’ve had for not doing things.

Did your experience with cancer change your relationship with music in any way?

What led you to join Play It Back, and what are you hoping to get out of the experience?

I joined Play It Back because I need to push myself creatively. I love to make music and see the final product, but I hate the process and that is what I need to get better at enjoying. Play It Back helps me enjoy the process and cultivate new ideas and bring them to life. It’s like being stranded on an island, I can build a boat myself, but PIB can build one better and faster.

The type of music I create is whatever pops out of my head. Mainly rock, jazz, blues, soul, country, and americana (folk).

Eggs seem to be the only food that smells worse after preparing them. Think about it.
