What kind of music do you love, and who are some of your favorite artists or bands?

I love all genres of music. I love different genres and songs can all fit a certain mood or place where the listener is at.

What was your relationship with music like before your cancer diagnosis?

I have never created or performed music until after I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I love going to concerts and now learning the process of making music.

Can you share a little bit about your cancer story?

I am a current 4+ year pancreatic cancer survivor who has gone through many different treatments since diagnosis.

Did your experience with cancer change your relationship with music?

Since being diagnosed with cancer, I have found myself now listening to the messages of songs more. I have dug deeper into music.

What led you to join Play It Back, and what are you hoping to get out of the experience?

What I hoped and have gotten out of working with Play It Back is the opportunity to express my own thoughts and feelings through music.

If you had to describe the kind of music you want to make (or already make), how would you describe it?

I would say my genre of music would be Pop, but I am looking to expand into other genres.

I am married and a father of two kids. I am a high school special education teacher.
