Ryan Dwars hails from The Hawkeye State of Iowa. Just like that state’s nickname, Ryan is a warrior. He never created or performed music until after he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Ryan, a father of 2, started to dig into music once he started creating with Play It Back. He noticed parts of songs and productions that were invisible to him before creating music of his own. Ryan’s first song with Play It Back is called Wash Me Away. It’s about weathering the many storms in life that can take away your will to keep moving forward. Ryan has started to notice and strive for more meaning in the lyrics of songs he hears and makes. He is also allowing his songs to be whatever they need to be. Ryan’s second song is a spoof that includes his kids’ voices and is a parent’s take on how parents are really the ones that are misunderstood.
