Sadie was foremost an actress, performing extensively on stage and screen. She achieved success at an early age, attending the prestigious Italia Conti school and appearing in the play ‘Mumbo Jumbo’, directed by Nicholas Hytner, at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester at nineteen.  Her first film role came in the form of character ‘Rebecca’ in the film ‘Dark Obsession’ (originally titled ‘Diamond Skulls’), working opposite Gabriel Byrne and Amanda Donohue. Since then Sadie has featured in over twenty films, including working with Francis Ford Coppola as leading role ‘Lucy Westenra’ in the well-known ‘Bram Stoker’s Dracula’ alongside the formidable Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder and Anthony Hopkins. She starred in one-woman West End play ‘Touched…For The Very First Time’, directed by Douglas Rintoul and produced by Imogen Lloyd Webber, and in 2010, acted in play ‘Fool For Love’ at the Riverside Studios opposite The Libertine’s Carl Barat. She has also recently taken on the role of Gypsy Rose Lee in the West End’s ‘Britten in Brooklyn’.

In the mid-nineties, Sadie’s interest in production grew and she helped form the production company Natural Nylon with Jude Law, Ewan McGregor, Sean Pertwee, Jonny Lee Miller and Bradley Adams. The company produced the science fiction/horror feature ‘eXistenZ’ in 1999, which was followed by films ‘Nora XX/XY’, ‘Owning Mahowny’ and ‘To Kill a King’.

Sadie has been behind a number of features and short films; she produced the short film ‘Come What May’ with Rhys Ifans and the fashion film ‘Enchantment’ with supermodel Helena Christensen and Liberty Ross. She also co-produced ‘Love, Honour and Obey’ starring Jude Law and Ray Winstone, and ‘Sky Captain’ starring Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie, which went on to make $58 million at the box office.

Continuing her desire to work in film, Sadie formed Blonde to Black Pictures with her friends Emma Comley and Andrew Green in 2011. With an ethos to nurture and develop new talent, mixing a formula of art-house with more mainstream commercial successes and exposure, they completed their first feature ‘Buttercup Bill’ in 2013. ‘Set the Thames on Fire’; which was a feature and stars Noel Fielding, Lily Loveless and Sadie. Sadie also ex-produced the documentary ‘Black on Canvas’. Blonde to Black Pictures are in pre-production with their new feature film ‘Two for Joy’ Samantha Morton and Billie Piper attached.

Showing a natural affinity and flair for fashion, in 1999 Sadie co-founded the fashion label ‘FrostFrench’ with Jemima French. The label began in lingerie and then expanded into clothing collections. Matching contemporary innovative design with striking attention to detail, FrostFrench made a substantial impact in the UK and created worldwide interest in major markets such as the US and Japan. Describing their designs as ‘classical with a twist of pop’, Sadie and Jemima were awarded ‘Designers of the Year’ by Elle Magazine in 2004. They continue to design for the company’s sister brands ‘Floozie’ and ‘Iris and Edie’.

Sadie has written articles for publications including Harpers Bazar, Stella Magazine, Sunday Times and Balance. Sadie is also passionate about supporting various charities.

Sadie released a book, entitled ‘Nourish’, written with her sister Holly Davidson, and friend Amber Rose in September 2015.  With Sadie’s beauty recipes to soothe the skin and yoga and meditation routines to still the mind, chef Amber’s delicious food to nourish the body, and fitness instructor Holly’s exercises to strengthen it, ‘Nourish’ acts as the perfect antidote to the stresses and strains of modern life.
