NASHVILLE (April 3, 2019) – Teen Cancer America (TCA) announced today that tickets and table reservations are available for its annual fundraising event, “Party with a Purpose,” at the 78th Annual Iroquois Steeplechase in Nashville, Tenn. on Sat., May 11. The VIP tent party promises a festive day of horse racing, hospitality, hat contests, special prizes and live music with a finish line view, all benefiting the national non-profit founded by legendary rockers Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend of The Who.
Entertainment will be provided by country music sensation Jason Michael Carroll, along with Jackie Bristow and friends. Raffle prizes and a silent auction will help raise money to fund the TCA mission to support adolescents and young adults with cancer. This marks the second consecutive year that TCA has selected the Iroquois Steeplechase for a celebrity fundraising event in Music City.
“The Iroquois Steeplechase is a signature event every spring in Nashville, and it gives us a terrific opportunity to enjoy a day at the races in support of a very important cause,” said event organizer Rick French, TCA board member and chairman of the TCA Advisory Council.
TCA is currently working with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt University for the construction of a state-of-the-art lounge space to serve the needs of young cancer patients. Since 2012, the L.A.-based charity has developed and funded specialized facilities, treatment and age-specific services in partnership with leading medical centers across the U.S. to improve outcomes and survival for adolescents and young adults (AYA) fighting cancer.
Featuring complimentary food and open bar, the “Party with Purpose” is made possible with support from First Citizens Bank and French/West/Vaughan. In addition to individual wristbands, table reservations with parking passes and raffle tickets included are available for groups or companies interested in co-sponsoring the event. Proceeds will help fund TCA facilities and programs nationwide.
